The Main House at Cary Mede - a private residence		 Cary Mede is located on Lake Otsego. It is 60 miles west of Albany and 8 miles north of Cooperstown on Route 80. Nearest airports are Albany and Syracuse, each within 1 1/2 hours by car. Driving time from New York City, 4 hours; Boston, 5 hours; Montreal, 4 hours. Check with mapquest.com for Glimmerglass Opera.  The Opera is located immediately next door to Cary Mede,  same side of the road to the south.
